Why it matters

What regular grooming does for your cat

Cats are meticulous — but some jobs need a professional's hands.

Mat-free coats

Mats pull on skin and hide sores. We remove them humanely and keep them from coming back.

Fewer hairballs

Less loose fur swallowed during self-grooming means fewer hairballs on your rug.

Easier allergies

Baths and brush-outs strip dander — the main trigger for human cat allergies.

Skin & coat check

Skin, ears, claws, and coat looked over at every visit — anything unusual, we'll point it out so you can follow up with your vet.

Long hair, short hair, no problem

Breeds we groom every week

From high-maintenance show coats to wash-and-go short hairs.

Persians

Daily-matting coats kept silky with regular de-matting, baths, and face care.

Maine Coons

Big coats, big undercoats — de-shedding and sanitary trims that keep them comfortable.

Ragdolls & Himalayans

Soft, mat-prone fur that stays plush with a steady 4–8 week routine.

Domestic short & long hairs

Baths, de-shedding, and nail care for every wonderful mixed-breed cat.

What OKC cat parents say

Pawadise did such an incredible job. This was my cat's first grooming and I was nervous, but when I got her back she looked incredible, with such a happy demeanor. Her attitude has changed for the better since — it's been a life-changing experience for us. We will definitely be back!

Cat grooming FAQs

Questions OKC cat parents ask us

How much does cat grooming cost in Oklahoma City?

At Pawadise Parlor, Cat Grooming starts at $135, a Cat Bath at $79, and a Cat Nail Trim at $30 — the same starting price for every size, applying to mat-free coats. Matting adds time and can change the price. We also offer a Matted Cat Shave Down for heavily matted coats and soft nail caps (front or all four paws) — every exact price is shown clearly in the online booking flow before you confirm.

Do cats really need professional grooming?

Yes — especially long-haired breeds. Cats groom themselves, but they can't prevent undercoat matting, hairballs from swallowed fur, overgrown claws, or dander build-up. Regular professional grooming keeps the coat mat-free, reduces hairballs and shedding, and keeps skin healthy.

Do you sedate cats for grooming?

No. Sedation is only safe under veterinary supervision, so we never sedate. Instead we use patient, feline-first handling: quiet voices, gentle restraint, breaks when your cat needs them, and sessions that move at your cat's pace.

My cat is matted — can you help?

Yes — matted coats are one of the most common reasons cats come to us. Light matting is worked out humanely during a regular groom. For heavily matted coats we offer a dedicated Matted Cat Shave Down (a comfortable lion-style cut) so healthy fur can grow back — its exact price appears while you book online, and we always talk through the options with you first.

How often should my cat be groomed?

Long-haired breeds like Persians, Maine Coons, and Ragdolls do best every 4–8 weeks to stay mat-free. Short-haired cats benefit from a bath and de-shed every 8–12 weeks — more often during Oklahoma's heavy shedding seasons.

Can cat grooming help with my allergies?

It genuinely can. Regular baths and brush-outs remove dander and loose fur — the main triggers for human cat allergies — from your cat's coat before they spread around your home.

Does my cat need vaccinations for grooming?

Yes — a current rabies vaccination is required for every cat we groom, for the safety of all pets in our care. Bring your vaccine record or your vet's info to the first visit.

Do you groom anxious or senior cats?

Yes — gently. Anxious cats get quiet, unhurried one-on-one handling. Senior cats with arthritis or mobility issues get extra support and soft positioning, and we adapt every step to what your cat can comfortably handle.
